'I have been training with Dom for around 11 years now and the training has developed along with my fitness levels and goals. When I first started, my main goal was to burn fat and increase my fitness, as I was both overweight and very unfit I struggled with COPD, worked in a very stressful job, and relied on alcohol and poor food choices to deal with the stress. Within the first 12 months I had lost 3 stone in weight and went from a size 18 to a size 10/12 and my overall fitness improved dramatically. During this time we also had to work on my posture and deal with previous back and shoulder injuries.
Over the last 11 years, Dom has introduced me to weight lifting/powerlifting and we have both been surprised to discover that I am very strong in this area. I now have some pretty awesome PB's and am I regularly improving on these because of his vast knowledge and his constant research. When I first started the training with Dom, I would never enter the free weight area of the gym without him as I felt intimidated. Dom removes the stigma that females, especially older females, shouldn’t lift weights. We should, and Dom is a big promoter of this because he knows how it improves our health.
Dom’s knowledge is second to none and he also is constantly learning, progressing and improving himself to provide his clients with the best information out there to improve his clients health.
The reality is that as a Personal Trainer, he will get you where you want to be but you in turn will have to be willing to put in the hard work and effort. There is no substitute for hard work and Dom certainly expects to see this during the sessions. Because of this I am now as fit as I was in my twenties but I am much stronger then I have ever been and I am now 54. I highly recommend Dom and have never regretted choosing him as my personal trainer.
With Dom's support I have even competed at an international level in powerlifting and became a world champion. Below is a video of my world record deadlift of 187.5kg’s on the deadlift. I also became the 5th strongest British Females Masters Strong-woman. He comes to every competition, has spent time away to be there supporting and coaching me, and I couldn't think of any other trainer who is more dedicated each and every one of his clients.
