Choccy Bomb protein snack ball Recipe

These chocolate protein bomb snack balls are a great snack that aren’t baked, and are so easy to make, that the whole family will love. With a nice hit of protein, plus healthy fats and some slow release carbohydrates from the oats, they’re a great and complete snack that will stabilise your blood sugars for the day.

Ingredients:

  • 120g of nut butter. I used 60g of peanut, 60g almond, it must be smooth

  • 45g oats, Gluten Free if needed

  • 30g honey, if set then melt to make runny

  • 40g of chocolate protein, I use Vital Everyday chocolate pea protein

  • 1-2 squares of dark chocolate, diced into pieces, or dark chocolate chips

  • Splash of milk or milk alternative, I used Plenish almond milk

In a bowl mix all the ingredients, apart from the milk.

The mix will be crumbly, so you now add a tiny bit of milk and mix, then keep adding and mixing a little at a time until the mix will stick.

Roll into 10-12 even sized balls, put in a tupperware and freeze for 1-1.5 hours, then remove and refrigerate.

Nice and simple!
